n The Mandate: fill a presentation board, approximately 6ft by 10ft
n The presentation: must include the following,
• An introduction to the general ‘problem’ (why is this worthy of study?)
• A summary of previous work on the issue (literature review)
• The argument that you will make (the thesis)
• The presentation of your information (data)
• The conclusion (what did you find? How is it important, in the light of previous work?)
n February 10th: constitution of groups
n February 28th: Discussion of topics chosen by the groups (you need to have decided your topic by then)
n March 23rd: Preliminary bibliographies due
n April 11th: Discussion of preliminary findings
n April 20th: ‘Dry run’ in class
