Daily Grade Average

20% of course grade

This average aims to give you credit for

>doing selected daily activities in class

>doing the assignment readings

>being ready to report out on your group's student writing analysis, and

>keeping up with your scrapbook work (what we call "scrapbook checkpoints").

Since these activities have different goals and requirements, I can't really give you a single rubric. But I will give you specifics on how I'll be grading each activity at the time we do it.

Daily grades are also scored on my check system, which does compute mathematically when I average them, this way:

check-plus = 95

check = 85

check-minus = 75

zero = absent / didn't do the activity
