Telnet to Griffin

Griffin's Web-based interface can make it easy to use, but it can also be frustratingly slow over a low-speed modem. If you are reasonably Internet-savvy, you can save time by using the unpretty but fleet and powerful Telnet version of Griffin. Just direct your Telnet application to "griffin.wsu.edu". Type in "griffin" as the login and follow the directions. The services are arranged a little differently in this version, but it has definite attractions.

If you do not already have a Telnet application (you may well, and not even know it), you can download one. Mac Users can get BetterTelnet at http://www.cstone.net/~rbraun/mac/telnet/. Windows users should have one already. Use the "Back" button on your browser to return to whatever page sent you here.
