Charmian London's Sleeping Porch

Another view of the sleeping porch.  Through the windows at the far end, Jack London's sleeping porch can be seen. When a servant could not awaken the unconscious London early in the morning of November 22, London was brought to Charmian's sleeping porch. It was here that London died on November 22, 1916. Contrary to popular legend, most experts believe that he did not commit suicide, and his death certificate does not list suicide as a cause of death.
