Session Proposals for MLA 2008

As an affiliated society of the MLA, the Edith Wharton Society sponsors two panels at MLA each year. One is on a topic chosen by the EWS president, and the other is chosen from suggestions presented at the business meeting, with the proposer typically organizing and chairing the session.

During the 2006 MLA business meeting of the Edith Wharton Society, the membership voted that the EWS Executive Board would solicit topics both at the business meeting and via the web site. Any EWS member can propose a topic.

Edith Wharton Society members wishing to propose a topic should send it by January 5, 2008 to Hildegard Hoeller, hihllr@aim.com, either by e-mail or by using the form below. If you send your topic by e-mail, please include all the information listed below.

The proposal deadline has passed for this year, but the same process will be used next year to solicit panel proposals. The session proposal form will be available and proposals will be accepted starting December 1, 2008.
