The DNA Sequencing facilities provides WSU investigators access to automated DNA sequencing technology on a charge per sample basis. The Core owns an ABI Model 373A DNA Sequencer and is in the process of aquiring a Model 377 on which samples are processed. Samples are typically processed in 1-2 days, and yield 300-700 nucleotides of high-quality DNA sequence data (better than 99% accuracy typ.). Resulting data are automatically returned to the investigator by electronic mail. The cost for this service is $12 per sample (one template,one primer), and the investigator performs the labeiling PCR and cleanup in his/her own lab. We will perform the labeling reaction and cleanup for $20 per sample (one template, one primer).
