This revision removes small and attractive items (other than weapons and laptop
computers) from the University's central inventory system. Individual departments
are responsible for identification and control of small and attractive items.
This revision also makes the inventory limit for equipment purchased from sponsored
accounts the same as for state-funded equipment, i.e., first cost of $5000 or more.
However, all federally-furnished equipment is inventoried, regardless of cost.
Inventory Control Reports are required for all transfers to Surplus Stores, regardless
of the value of the property.
