Information - Microfridges
A limited number of microfridges are available for rental from McCroskey if you wish to have a place to keep food and drinks cool. These can be requested on your housing contract while applying for a residence hall, or a request can be made to the front desk upon checkin for more information.
However, due to the expense, many students choose to bring or purchase their own, which is allowed. It may also be put into storage during the summer months if you you have a contract to return to McCroskey the following academic year.
There is also a refrigerator/freezer located in the basement kitchen for resident use. There have not been too many problems with theft, but it is much safer to keep your food and drinks in your own room. Items stored in the kitchen refrigerator must be marked with the residents room number, and date. Items not marked may be discarded by the custodian as there is no way to tell how long it has been there or if it is still fresh. Please be aware of expiration dates and clean out food that has expired or is no longer good.
