Information - Parking

Parking on campus

If you bring your car to campus, you will need a parking permit. There are several options for parking. The closest lot is Crimson1, which is located just behind the Hillside Cafe. The next closest lot is the Gray1 lot located near Regents Hall or Southside Cafe. Finally there is the Blue1 lot located next to the recreation center.

Crimson1 permits are sold on a priority basis and a request for a Crimson1 permit can be made on your housing contract. Your housing and dining contract can be viewed here. Gray1 permits are sold on a first come, first serve basis beginning Tuesday, August 10th, 2010. If you are waiting for a Crimson1 permit, you may purchase a Gray1 permit and later exchange it for a Crimson1 permit once your name comes up on the waiting list, to ensure you have the closest parking possible.

Permits may be picked up from the Parking and Transportation Services building on campus. Please see the Parking and Transportaion Services website for hours of operation. If you do not expect to use your car much, it may be parked next to the recreation center using a Blue1 permit. There is no restriction on the number of Blue1 permits available for sale.

Crimson1 and Gray1 permits are sold only to students residing in the residence halls. They provide close to a 1-to-1 ratio between permits and available parking spaces, therefore there should always be at least one parking available. Blue permits are not restricted in sales, it is possible at times it may be difficult to find a parking.
