DANCER,1976
48 x 24in

Dancer makes music and moves light around a tilted circle in sixteen points, each point a 25watt lightbulb. Speed of motion around the circle, brightness of light, and direction of rotation are determined by a whole mess of very low frequency oscillators, all differently affected by small temperature changes. The slow changes make very long cycles in the patterns of the dance and sound. This first Dancer is the first of an ongoing series. It does not respond directly to a viewer.
