To prospective graduate students: I work on a variety of aquatic organisms and systems. Please view my cv and publications for examples. There are some specific projects that I am interested in recruiting M.S. or Ph.D. to work on:

1. Thermal adaptation – specifically utilization of ArcGIS to map temperature and animal distributions at deep sea vents from in situ images and data. Development of automated image analysis protocols.

2. Flow of C and N using stable isotope tracers – Particularly enrichment studies and studies involving symbiosis

3. Instrumentation development – Automated benchtop analysis. In situ water chemistry, imaging, and temperature measurements.
