Heald Hall, where the Herbarium is located, is on College Street, just west of Abelson Hall and across the street to the northwest of Owen Science library.To reach Heald Hall from downtown Pullman: Head east on Main and at the junction with Spring Street turn northeast . Follow Spring past Reaney Park. Veer left at the skateboard park and parking lot and follow the road up the steep hill by the power plant. Go straight through one stop sign and continue up the hill to a second stop sign. At this stop sign, on the diagonal corner from you (further up the hill to the left) is Heald Hall; on your immediate left are a few parking meters; and on your right is a parking lot that also has a few meters, or should have a space for you if you have a visitor permit. (This route is closed during snowy weather.)
To reach Heald from Stadium Way: Turn north on Nevada Street from Stadium Way, then take the first left (past Student Health) and go one block. Turn right and go one block to a parking lot on the left. This lot has a few meters and usually has space if you have a visitor permit. Heald Hall is northeast of this lot, diagonally through the four-way stop.
Parking Options
Visitor permits: Permits are available 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. from the Cougar Depot visitor center in downtown Pullman (near the intersection of Grand and Olsen) and from WSU Parking and Transportation Services, which is located across from campus on Colorado Street between C and D streets.Parking meters near Heald Hall: $0.25 for 10 minutes, with a 2 hour limit.
