ORPHISM

Orphism was a movement within Cubism characterized by color saturations that provide further fragmentation within Cubist works.

See the works of Sonia and Robert Delaunay, such as the latter's Formes circulaires, Soleil Lune (1913), nearly an abstract work creating "rhythmic relationships" with color (Dempsey 101). Sonia concentrated on applied arts. Diaghilev of the Ballets Russes commissioned the Delaunays to design the sets and costumes for a revival of Cleopatra.
