Summary: Tony Sarg used three-dimensional puppets in silhouette. Despite the title, the story is not set in prehistoric times as might be expected. Instead the family seems rather hillbilly, but a friendly dinosaur makes a few appearances among a hodgepodge of incidents surrounding the need to entertain a baby: first, the dinosaur brings the baby home and receives a reward--unidentifiable food which we see travelling down its long esophagus; and later, during a visit to a zoo, the dinosaur allows people to use its neck as a slide [long before The Flintstones].
