Roy DeCuir
My Dad is Roy DeCuir. At the age of 19 he worked in the shipyards for
one year where he inhaled asbostos into his lungs. He served in WWII
and met my mom in England. In about 1985 he learned he had lung cancer
and asbestos. The cancer was completely removed by removing a lung in
about 1986, however he could not quit smoking and subsequently the
combination of asestos and tobacco combined to bring back the cancer.
In the end he suffocated in the hospital because his lungs just stopped
working. He was 70 when he died.
Rich DeCuir, son.
