PROJECT #1:
Take a tarot reading of yourself by surfing to theVirtual Tarot. Using Jungian psychology as your primary "lens," interpret your reading. To amplify and illustrate your interpretation, bring into the discussion as much possible characters from plays we have read this semester. With any given point you are are discussing, how does this relate to a particular character or theme?
PROJECT #2:
From among the plays we read this semester, select your favorite character. Create what you feel would be a fitting reading for this character. For symbolic descriptions of all the cards, consult the online book. Argue why you feel this reading fits your character. And, by the way, you may feel the reading is right on target, but how do think the character would actually feel about your choices?
PROJECT #3:
From among the plays we read this semester, select your favorite character. Then imagine that your character gets a Tarot reading from somewhere else, perhaps the Virtual Tarot. Drawing as much as you can from the principles of Jungian psychology, explain how your character would react to this reading?
PROJECT #4:
From among the plays we read this semester, select your favorite character. Have another character from within the play create what he or she feels is the perfect reading for your favorite character. Speaking at times from your own point of view and at other times from the point of view of the character who suppossedly did the reading, explain why various choices were made. Do you agree or disagree with the "interpreter's" choices?
PROJECT #5:
Get a reading from the Virtual Tarot. Assume at first that the reading is for you. How do you react to the reading and why? Then assume that the same reading was for a particular character from one the plays we have read this semester. How would this character react to the same reading? Ultimately, between the two of you, who do you think best deserves this reading?
PROJECT #6:
Take the Wartegg Drawing Test, and then get a Tarot reading from the Virtual Tarot for yourself. Intrepret both the Tarot reading and the Wartegg Test, relying as much as possible on the principles of Jungian psycholgy, and compare and contrast the results.
PROJECT #7:
Virtually the same as project #6 above, except that you will be taking the Wartegg Drawing Test and Virtual Tarot reading as a specific character from one the plays we have read this semester. Interpret both reading and Wartegg test results, comparing and contrasting the interpretations. Which interpretation do you prefer? Which would the character prefer?
