For class discussion today read the following:

Introduction by Peeples.

If you are a newcomer to rhetoric, please read Part 1, Chapter 1 of Peeples. It's basic to understanding the rhetorical underpinnings of the most common approach to tech comm. We will discuss the Foss, Foss, and Trapp piece for sure.

Read Faigley, Miller, and Slack in Part 1, Chapter 2. These three articles are foundational in tech comm; we'll discuss them thoroughly.

In Part 2, read Driskell and Susan Katz in Chapter 3.

In Chapter 4, read Ornatowski and Steven Katz.

All of these articles will provide for a fascinating class discussion--lots of territory covered and lots of things to puzzle over.
