The Site Proposal--Due Nov. 28, 2006

For this part of the assignment your team will be proposing plans for an extensive web site project that will be your focus for the last weeks for the semester.

Your audience for the proposal will be both the teacher and the others in the class, although your audience for the site itself may be different. This proposal can be a paper-based document, but may take web or other formats if your team believes a different format may serve your purpose better. This proposal must also contain one prototype page as an example of the design/content you are proposing for the new site.

The proposal will be a 3-5 page document (or that approximate length in another media) and must include the following content:
>An abstract—a one page or less document providing an overview of the project.
>A problem statement—why is this web site needed and what purpose will the creation of the web site fulfill.
>An objectives statement—what specific goal the team meet with this web site and what specific audience this site will be targeted for.
>A methods or process statement—an overview of how the project will be conducted and completed; this section should also compare the “type” of website you are proposing to already existing web sites of the same nature.
>Evaluation criteria—a statement of how the end product of this group effort should be judged.
