Eligibility

The Marchionne Foundation awards grants to organizations rather than individuals.  Thus, the successful applicant must be affiliated with a research institute or four-year academic institution at which empirical research is supported.  Applicants must be affiliated with an American or Canadian organization, and must hold the Ph.D., though graduate students may be listed as co-PI.  The Foundation is particularly interested in helping establish the careers of promising young scientists, and so at least one award in each year will be targeted toward an applicant who has held the Ph.D. for no more than five years.  The Foundation makes no distinctions based on the sex, race, or ethnicity of applicants.
