A note about employment: Due to budget constraints, Writing Lab tutors traditionally work for credit or as volunteers for at least one semester before being eligible for paid positions. Paid positions include Writing Lab tutoring as well as English 102 and Gen. Ed. 302 tutoring. Exceptions are sometimes made for highly qualified or experienced applicants; ask Lisa Johnson-Shull if you have any questions about this policy. In addition to their tutoring hours, all new Writing Lab tutors are required to attend a one-hour weekly training meeting for which they may choose to receive English 499 credit.
