I spent 16 years teaching at DSU. When I started there, the school was teacher education institution. In 1984, the South Dakota Legislature decided that DSU would become the state's digital technology center. This mission change drastically altered DSU and gave me my start in teaching with technology, which I've been doing ever since. My first computer-lab course was in 1985 when I taught first-year composition in a mainframe computer lab.

And that, as the Indigo Girls say, "Was just the beginning of the rest of my life."
