Cohesive, Engaging, Unique
My interest in design began in high school when I worked as Editor-in-Chief for the Yearbook. In a town where quite literally everyone knows your name, we did not have the luxury of a large Yearbook staff, so the job of layout design for the entire book fell to me, the Editor. Ever since, I have taken advantage of any opportunity (though sadly, they have been few) I am offered to create layouts and spreads.
200 Koi - Literary Magazine
In Literary Editing and Publishing, a course at WSU, I worked as Layout Editor for a literary magazine that my group and I created, accepted submissions for, and submitted to WSU Press for publication.
DARS Report Redesign
In another course, Professional and Technical writing, we were challenged with the task of re-designing the DARS Report, the report that students access to track their academic progress. The current report is confusing, cluttered, and difficult to navigate. The goal of the redesign was not focused on creativity but rather usability.
