Putting on a program and need financial support? Washington State University's RHA is a great resource to help make your event happen. We can provide either funding or support through our connections with residence halls. We look to fund programs that will involve on-campus residents and support cultural, academic, or social connections.

How to Request Funding:

1. Complete a funding proposal online. If you have questions regarding this form please contact us before you submit it for processing. Hard-copy funding proposals are also available outside the RHA office located at McAllister 333 (between Gannon-Goldsworthy and Stephenson).

2. Complete the form and include all appropriate information. Be sure to describe your request in as much detail as possible. The more information we have regarding your request, the better chance your organization will have of receiving funding. We look to fund thoroughly thought-out, organized events that will be advertised in advance and be well-attended. In general, programs that involve more students are more likely to receive funding, but this is not always the case.

3. Submit the online funding proposal before 4:00 PM Monday. If filling out a hard copy, submit 2 copies in person at the RHA office.

4. Present your proposal in person at the Finance Committee meeting Monday at 5:30 PM in CUE 219. At this time the Finance Committee will review your proposal and gather information about your program.

5. Present your proposal at the RHA General Council Meeting Monday at 7:00 PM in CUE 219. You will be included in the Agenda for that Monday's meeting and will be given an opportunity to speak to the council and present your funding proposal. After you have presented feel free to leave the meeting.

6. Return to the RHA General Council Meeting the following week to see the result of your proposal. You will be asked to give a brief update/summary on your proposal and then leave the room while Council votes. After voting, you will be given a Funding Settlement Form that details the final decision made and explains the required RHA advertising process for your program.

7. You're done! Funding will be handled by our Director of Finance and your organization. Please read the "Guidelines for Advertising RHA" handout, and see our downloads section for a media package of our logo.

*Note: The funding process generally takes two weeks from the Monday meeting when your proposal is submitted. Please plan well in advance when requesting funding!
